Kings Monkton Sixth Form aids our pupils to ‘become the best you can be’ through Success, Independence, Opportunity.

We allow our pupils to focus on areas of study that they love and are truly passionate about. Therefore, we teach a wide range of subjects, such as English, Mathematics, History, Mandarin, Psychology and Criminology. We offer these subjects in A Level, BTEC and Welsh Baccalaureate qualifications to provide pupils with the skills and knowledge they need to move on to university or full-time employment, confident in their own abilities.

Pupils are taught in a manner that is more like university style seminars with discussion encouraged by teachers who are experts in their subjects. We treat our sixth form pupils as adults, and they are expected to take responsibility for both their studies and the KMS Family. Some of this work pupils will be able to do in supervised study sessions during the school day. However, that is not to say they will be left to their own devices and the help and support of our team of experienced staff will always be available to make sure our pupils can be the best they can be.

All students are also offered various opportunities to engage in work experience and are offered advice and support in choosing the next step that is right for them, whether that be further education in university or college or a move into employment.
